FAQs

Here are the answers to some of the questions clients ask most frequently.

Being independent means that we can recommend investment and pension products from across the entire market.

This means that we research and present to you a wider choice of options than an advisor who only works with a restricted number of options – which may not be the best options for you!

In short, working with an independent financial advisor means you have more options.

Investing Ideas Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Our FCA number is FCA 991182.

We specialise in helping people with their financial planning and making the most of their pensions and investments.

We’re always happy to meet potential clients. Many of our clients, who had an existing adviser, came to us because they

• were not getting regular reviews;
• didn’t feel valued by their adviser;
• were disappointed with the results they were getting;
• felt their capital was losing value;
• wanted to know if their investments could perform better;
• had a fright when the market went down in 2008.

If you have an existing adviser and you would like to discuss your current arrangements, we would be happy to talk with you.

There is no obligation to take it further – the choice is yours.

No, initial discussions are at our expense - you are not charged a fee for this initial discussion.

Typically, this lasts between an hour and 90 minutes - we’ll provide an introduction to our service and learn more about your aims and aspirations.

You will need to have I.D., details of any current policies or plans you hold, and an understanding of your current income and expenditure.

Only if you want to!

Our main aim is to build a long term relationship with you – we don’t believe we can do that by pressuring you to sign anything.

We’ll explain how we’re able to help you – sometimes we have to do some research before we can do that!.

It’s always your choice – you only sign up when you’re happy to proceed.
